The International Joint School “Smart Nanomaterials and X-ray Optics 2016: Modeling, Synthesis and Diagnostics” and The International Workshop “20 years of X-ray refractive optics: Status and Perspectives”

INTRODUCTION

The International Joint School “Smart Nanomaterials and X-ray Optics 2016: Modeling, Synthesis and Diagnostics” and The International Workshop “20 years of X-ray refractive optics: Status and Perspectives” for young researchers are proposed to be held in October 12-16, 2016 in Kalinigrad, Russia at Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in cooperation with Southern Federal University.

The aim of this school is to bring the fields of chemistry, physics, and computer science together, where state-of-the-art research in the field of both theoretical and experimental design of nanostructures is discussed. Emphasis of this workshop are methods of computer simulations, synthesis and “in-situ” study of nanostructures.

SCOPE

The school is motivated to bring outstanding graduate students, where they will present and discuss their own research in the presence of experienced researchers. Experience researches will provide tutorial key-note lectures, which are important for participants from the different disciplines to follow the progress made in each specific field. The school will also leave sufficient time for “round-table” scientific discussions and planning of future activities, oral presentations and an on-site visit of the experimental facilities.

Registration deadline: July 31, 2016

Deadline for abstract submission: August 10, 2016.
